Student Rights, Code of Conduct & Grievance Redressal Policy

Applies To: All applicants, enrolled students, and participants in OXDUB academic and non-academic activities.
OXDUB International College (“OXDUB”, “we”, “our”) is committed to creating a learning environment that is safe, respectful, inclusive, and supportive. This policy outlines student rights, expected conduct, behavioural standards, and the formal process for resolving grievances.
1. Student Rights
All students of OXDUB have the right to:
1.1 Quality Education
Access to high-quality instruction, learning resources, and assessment.
1.2 Equal Opportunity
Participate in programs without discrimination based on nationality, gender, ethnicity, religion, disability, age, or background.
1.3 Safety & Respect
Learn in an environment free from bullying, harassment, discrimination, or intimidation.
1.4 Fair Assessment
Be evaluated using transparent and consistent criteria.
Request clarification regarding academic results.
1.5 Privacy & Data Protection
Have their personal data handled securely under GDPR (as per OXDUB’s Privacy Policy).
1.6 Access to Support
Academic advising, administrative support, and welfare services where available.
1.7 Freedom to Report Concerns
Raise issues or complaints without fear of retaliation.
2. Student Responsibilities
Students are expected to:
2.1 Uphold Academic Integrity
Submit original work.
Avoid cheating, plagiarism, or falsifying documents.
2.2 Behave Respectfully
Treat peers, staff, and faculty with courtesy and professionalism.
Respect cultural and linguistic diversity.
2.3 Follow College Policies
Adhere to:
Attendance requirements
Assessment rules
Safety guidelines
Code of Conduct (this policy)
2.4 Maintain Accurate Information
Provide true and accurate records during application and enrolment.
2.5 Proper Use of College Resources
Use facilities, equipment, and online platforms responsibly.
3. Code of Conduct
This applies to all in-person and online interactions.
3.1 Expected Behaviour
Students must:
Communicate respectfully in class, online platforms, and during group work
Participate in learning activities as required
Follow teacher instructions and class rules
Use appropriate language and behaviour at all times
Respect College property and facilities
3.2 Prohibited Behaviour
The following actions are strictly prohibited:
Harassment & Abuse
Verbal, physical, sexual, or psychological harassment
Bullying, intimidation, or threats
Discriminatory remarks or behaviour
Academic Misconduct
Cheating, copying or enabling others to cheat
Using unauthorised materials
Impersonating another student
Plagiarising assignments or assessments
Misrepresentation
Providing false information
Forging documents
Misusing OXDUB’s name or resources
Disruptive Behaviour
Repeatedly interrupting class
Causing disturbance to staff or students
Misuse of online platforms (spam, insults, inappropriate content)
Damage/Theft
Intentional damage to College property
Theft of belongings or resources
OXDUB reserves the right to take disciplinary action for violations.
4. Anti-Harassment & Anti-Discrimination Commitment
OXDUB maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward:
Bullying
Harassment
Racism or xenophobia
Gender-based discrimination
Offensive remarks or slurs
Sexual misconduct
All complaints are treated confidentially.
Students who witness or experience misconduct are encouraged to report it promptly.
5. Disciplinary Actions
Depending on severity and frequency, consequences may include:
Verbal or written warning
Temporary removal from class
Suspension from the program
Termination of enrolment
Revocation of certification (in extreme cases)
OXDUB will ensure a fair review before disciplinary action is applied.
6. Grievance & Complaint Redressal Process
OXDUB provides a structured process for resolving complaints related to academics, staff behaviour, course quality, services, or college facilities.
6.1 Step 1 — Informal Resolution (Recommended First Step)
Students are encouraged to first:
Speak with their instructor
Contact the relevant department
Discuss the matter informally to seek resolution
In many cases, issues can be resolved quickly without formal escalation.
6.2 Step 2 — Formal Complaint Submission
If the issue remains unresolved, students may submit a formal complaint via:

Required Information:
Student name & ID
Description of issue
Dates and persons involved
Supporting documents (screenshots, emails, etc.)
6.3 Step 3 — Acknowledgement & Review
Complaints are acknowledged within {{X}} working days
The matter is reviewed by the appropriate OXDUB committee or administrator
Additional information may be requested from involved parties
OXDUB ensures impartiality throughout the process.
6.4 Step 4 — Resolution
A decision will be communicated to the student within {{X}} working days after review.
Possible resolutions include:
Corrective action
Apology or explanation
Policy clarification
Behavioural or disciplinary interventions
6.5 Step 5 — Appeal
If unsatisfied, the student may file an appeal within {{X}} days of receiving the decision.
The appeal will be reviewed by a higher authority or independent panel.The appeal decision is final.
7. Non-Retaliation Clause
Students will not face any retaliation for raising legitimate concerns or complaints.Retaliatory behaviour by staff or students is prohibited and subject to disciplinary action.
8. Confidentiality
Complaints are handled confidentially
Information is shared only with individuals involved in resolving the issue
Records are stored securely as per OXDUB’s Privacy & Data Governance Policy
